About Hometech Digital
Hometech Digital Limited was originally incorporated on June 1, 2016, as Hometech Digital Private Limited under the Companies Act, 2013. The company was subsequently converted into a public limited company and its name was changed to Hometech Digital Limited through a fresh certificate of incorporation dated August 18, 2023. The registered office of the company is situated in Sector 35-B, Chandigarh.
The company operates in the consumer electronics and white goods segment. The broader licence covers products such as LED televisions, audio products, washing machines, air-conditioners, microwave ovens, cooking appliances, water dispensers, vacuum cleaners and other consumer electronics products.
Hometech Digital initially imported products in CKD and SKD form for assembly in India. As domestic electronics manufacturing capabilities developed, the company shifted to getting its products manufactured in India through various manufacturers. The company determines product specifications and features, while production is inspected through quality-control processes before products are introduced to the market. Distribution, marketing, sales promotion and servicing are handled by the company.

Hometech Digital IPO Review
Hometech Digital operates in the consumer electronics and white goods market and has built its business around the AKAI brand in India. Its product portfolio covers multiple categories, allowing the company to participate across televisions, air-conditioners, washing machines and audio products. The company also handles distribution, marketing, sales promotion and servicing activities.
The company's manufacturing model is relatively asset-light because production is carried out through various OEM and ODM manufacturers in India. Hometech Digital determines product specifications and features and conducts quality-control processes, while manufacturing infrastructure is provided by external partners. This approach can allow the company to focus its resources on branding, distribution, sales and market expansion.
The company has expanded its sales channels over time. It initially developed a city-wise distributor and dealer network and subsequently added online sales through Amazon. It has also started selling certain products through Reliance Digital stores. The combination of offline and online distribution provides access to different consumer segments.
Financially, Hometech Digital reported revenue from operations of ₹120.68 crore in FY2023 compared with ₹92.11 crore in FY2022 and ₹70.00 crore in FY2021. For the six-month period ended September 30, 2023, revenue from operations stood at ₹65.70 crore. The final IPO valuation cannot be assessed until the company announces its price band.
