Jaiprakash Power Ventures Limited is an India-based company, which is engaged in the business of generation of thermal and hydropower, cement grinding and captive coal mining. Its segments include Power, Coal, Sand Mining, and Others, Cement Grinding. The Company owns and operates approximately 400 megawatts (MW) JaypeeVishnuprayag Hydro Electric Plant in District Chamoli, Uttarakhand; 1320 MW JaypeeNigrie Super Thermal Power Plant at Nigrie, District Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, and 500 MW JaypeeBina Thermal Power Plant at Village Sirchopi, District Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. It is operating a cement grinding unit at Nigrie, District Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh and is also engaged in captive coal mining operations at Amelia Coal Block for the supply of coal to JaypeeNigrie Super Thermal Power Plant. The Company's subsidiaries include Sangam Power Generation Company Limited, Jaypee Arunachal Power Limited, Jaypee Meghalaya Power Limited and Bina Mines and Supply Limited.
